My brother plays Counterstrike over his cablemodem. Brother two wants to share the internet connection. Because the cablemodem is a fsked up 1-way job this is how I finally set up the system.
PC1: 2 ethernet cards; one is hooked up to cablemodem, the other is hooked up to a Linksys hub. Runs Sygate internet sharing (came with the hub)
PC2: 1 ethernet card; hooked up to the hub.
Now then, BOTH PCs can access the internet just fine. Because I turned NAT on, PC2 can even run games like Everquest without a hitch through Sygate. The problem is that PC1 can't run Counterstrike anymore. Whenever he tries to connect to a game server the machine hangs.
My guess is that PC1/Counterstrike is confused by the two ethernet adapters and is sending the the packets through the wrong one instead of out to the cablemodem.
Anyone know how to fix this problem? We'd really like to be able to share this net connection.

update: If I disable Sygate on PC1 Counterstrike works fine. But then of course PC2 is out of luck.
