HELP!!!! Can't get case off of Gateway 300S!! Any help?

I feel like a total moron, but I cannot get this case off of a Gateway 300S. Does anyone know how to do it that could give a quick hint or two? Much thanks!

Have you consulted the owner's manual? I downloaded this PDF file, which is apparently the manual, and it shows some helpful pics on page 193-194. Looks like you unlatch the side panel using the recess at the top, and it hinges down on its bottom edge. Hope that helps.
