I have just built a new setup with an Epox 8k7a

at first I had a athlon 1.0ghz and epox 8k7a, when the chip arrived from new egg it had a small crack in it. I pluged it in, tried it out the comp would come on, fans would turn on, hard drives would spin and even the fan on the video card would turn proving there is power going to the AGP. The mobo would say FF for everything is ok and passed to OS

however, I could not get any video signal from my Geforce 2 64mb.. baffled I plugged in an old PCI card and once again no luck.

Well I rma'd the chip back to new egg and got a 1.2ghz this time.
Started the whole process over and now STILL nothing, no video signal..

Im running a h20 cooler on it, so really nothing is even drawing power besides the mobo I unplugged everything else besides the ATX power connector.

So is this just a bad mobo or is there something Im missing
full setup is

Antec 300w PS
1.2ghz tbird
epox 8k7a
water cooling drawing no power from the PS.

Anyone have any clue or is the mobo just screwed?
it surprises me that the mobo even powers up but like I said
no warning beeps no real loading and no video signal

THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE

Dave

:DI had same problem with my gygabyte 7vtx nothing but the fan would turn on and the light on the board was on but nothing I tought it was my graphic card because of no video but come to find out i had a jumper to (CLear CMOS) that did the trick so try that first it should be in your manual about clear cmos jumper or dipswicth or in my case (atv133a)just 2 solder dot in boards that you have to use screwdriver to touch and the ram too will do this but usaly the no ram will give you beeping nose so make sure your ram are well sitted .

:Dyour computer won't start in the (clear cmos)it just wipe all the data so you do (clear cmos only for second)and if it's not that then could be your graphics card have you try it on an other pc to see if it work maybe it's not compatible with this epox and you can go this site at amdmb.com and look for epox forum http://www.athlonmb.com/index.php
