I have a new DFI Lan Party DK X48 motherboard.

Everything was running fine until I just updated my BIOS to the new one.

I dont have a floppy, so at DFI's suggestion I used winflash.

I did everything exactly as they say and now when I try to boot up, I get the 'Boot Logo" for DFI then the screen goes black with a "Blue Stripe" across the bottom and the curser blinking in the top left.

I tried resetting the BIOS with the jumper and the battery removal.

Nothing is working and I can't get past the black screen with a blue stripe.

Anyone seen this or know how to fix it?

Well, I actually did do a search for solutions and I did not find anything similiar to my "Blue Stripe" problem.

BTW, what is the deal with people replying to a post only to tell the OP to "do a search?"

I realize that there are a lot of repeated posts and everyone should not be rehashed, but to assume I didn't take the time to "do a search" and then tell me to do it??

I mean, what is the point of having a "Support Forum" if all of the "Gurus" who are there to help with thier knowledge just tell people to "do a search?"

I think the next time someone ask me how to avoid going to hell, I will just tell them to go buy a bible.

Thanks

Thats a good solution there...LOL, sorry mate, I meant there are several BIOS corruption issues on the forum at present, I can only suggest you try some of those....
Why did you flash the BIOS?..

You may need to replace the BIOS chip by the looks of it, wonder if you could RMA the board?

Does DFI have a crash-free BIOS feature that would allow you to say insert a CD and re-flash to the previous BIOS? If it does that's what I would do. Then re-flash the BIOS using a CD with the latest BIOS.

Wow. Something similar just happened to me, though not on a DFI DDR3 board. Check my thread for more breastbeating. :)

on some boards this sort of thing can be caused by electrical interference from e.g. a fan.
