Help can't change my windows live id

I have changed my email adress and therefore wants to change my windows live id. But everytime i try i got the following message
There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later.
Can anyone help me please

Go to https://account.live.com/, and there should be an option to change your windows live ID there.

I do not get any service error messages. Maybe it was down for maintenance or something when you tried.

Do you have a hotmail account as your ID? If you have hotmail you cannot change your ID. Found this out the hard way.

My current live id is not a hotmail account. I am using https://account.live.com
Im still getting this error message when i try to save my new email adress. I have tried for several days now
