Help! Can't change memory Ratios!

I just bought an MSI 845G MAX and I'm beginning to think I made a mistake. After popping a stick of Crucial DDR 2700 in the motherboard, I can't seem to set the RAM at 333MHz, even though the manual says so. I also heard about memory ratios such as 3:4 or 4:5, but I can't seem to find that in BIOS? What can I do? Does the latest Bios be able to fix this? Or should I return this POS and get an Epox EP4g4a?
