I had one do the same thing (1333 t-bird) on an MSI board. I thought the board was bad, got an IWILL -- same problem would only boot at 100mhz fsb (or wouldn't boot at all - 100 or 133). Sent the processor back to the guy I bought it from and it worked fine for him. He sent me a replacement CPU and I had no problems at all. Now running at 10x150 rock solid. I'm still completely lost as to what the problem could have possibily been.

Good luck,

Justin

well, i figured it out....it was a RAM chip. i wonder if its fubared or if my 300w PS cant handle it. ill have to find out..

your psu should handle it no doubt...it might be your mem.

what voltage are u it at?..my asus board defaults at 3.4v, though the operating spec for mem is 3.3v
it fried one of my sticks...poor tolerance or what..anyway, i have it running at 3.3v with no problems.

asus boards generally have them set to 3.4v default.

well, i took out one stick and it booted fine at 7x133. im running at 8x133 right now but i wi8ll slowly increase the fsb to 140 or higher. i then shut down and put the stick ack in and viola! it still works so something wasnt right. oh well, everything works now.

thanks
