I have a new computer with a 30 gig hard drive.

I have a phonebook program with a lot oif numbers and addresses in my old hard drive from my old computer and I want to be able to access them.

Can I just plug the old hard drive into my secondary IDE slot and will Windows automatically recognize it?

Will it give another drive letter since my 30 Gig hard drive is the C drive?

Please help.

Should work fine. Assuming nothing is already on your 2nd IDE channel, just plug it in there, no need for jumper changes. The drive will become D and bump your CD-ROM's letter up. You may need to go into your BIOS and set that channel to autodetect the drive type.
