HELP!! Can I swich Video Cards in my Inspiron 5100??

Hey,

I am new to the world of notebooks...
I just recently purchased an Inspiron 5100 from dell with a
7500 Radeon 32 MB video card... Is it possible to purchase
a Mobility Radeon 9000 series viedo card and switch that with
my 7500 card? Or is that not possible with a laptop??

Thanks... Any help would be greatly appreciated...
 
As far as I know I don't think this is possible with this model of cards. Keep in mind that laptops are in general not very upgradeable, except hard drive and memory.
 
Only a very few high-end notebooks have mini graphics cards inside, most have the graphics chip and other parts integrated into the motherboard so it can't be replaced. AFAIK only the Dell 8xxx models use cards instead of on-motherboard.
