Help: Can browse network but can't connect to internet

One of my computers in my network can browse other computers on the network, connect to Call of Duty gaming servers, and connect to Symantec's Live Update server over the internet. The problem is when i try to use IE 6 to to browse the internet it won't connect. It seems like all my programs can access the internet except IE 6. Is there anyway to fix it without having to reinstall Windows XP?
