i was figuring going linksys, but after researching here a little i think i'll go dlink. but what about the actual card for the 2 pcs. should i buy dlink as well? usb or pci? and what about all the talk about 2.4Ghz phones being a problem. i have one downstairs, and the network would be upstairs so is that a problem?

also i want to sync my nokia 6600 with my pc. what bluetooth product do i need? thanks for the help.

I myself have never had issues with 2.4GHz phones interfering with a wifi connection. If anything it would almost help it. It really doesn't matter what brand you get IMO. I've used both D-LInk Linksys NetGear and Cisco wifi NICs, and all have performed just about the same. Just check the specs, and see what works for you.

For a desktop USB is probably a better bet as it will allow you to move the radiator/reflector around some. As long as it's wi-fi compatible it should work fine with the AP you get but if your concerned then stay with the same Mfg. Dlink, Netgear, Linksys. They are all pretty similar in terms of performance, range etc... Cisco cards are FAR superior to any budget client device however they are cost prohibitive.
As far as your 2.4 phones interfering. Perhaps. Varies. You'll have to test to find out. One thing they won't do is make anything on your WLAN better. That's ridiculous. There could only be negative impact, or no impact.
You might not like what a bluetooth AP and client device do to your 802.11 b or g devices. Same frequency and it's frequency hopping like many 2.4 phones. You might be fine though as it is very low wattage and would only probably affect the Wi-Fi device it is very close to.

Hay, My name is Niv , and I just got a new BT cell.
seems that there are a lot of devices out there to connect it to my pc.

the most commen is ovcourse the usb to BT dongle. but I also spot the logitec and M$ comos that include a keyboard and mouse.
guessing that I could use the keyboard to type in SMS to the cell, and get the whole PAN (personal area network) going, what is your take on this, ppl?

I also saw other devices that lets me connect BT to my LAN, does this make any sense?
What package offers the best value for getting in to BT?

Thanks,
Niv
