I'm trying to burn downloaded cue/bin images with cdrwin, which is what was specified, but I just get one big unreadable track. I've had no problem with Winoncd or Clonecd with my yamaha 4416. I tried a test run, with no errors, the burn itself showed no errors. The disk is unreadable by anything but winoncd which shows the big track.

The last time I tried this I finally used Bin2iso, and winimage to extract the files, but I wish I could burn this image.

Thanks

I'm with Jaiknight.

I tried cdrwin on my plextor 8432 and hte only time it would work is when I burnt at 1x.

Now, when I use fireburner it burns nicely at 8x and only one coaster.. I was unraring, downloading and other HD intensive apps at the same time though.

Thanks all for the Fireburner info, I'm looking at the website now. I had never heard if It! Why is Cdrwin so big if it sucks? It's not like they're microsoft!

If you use a serial number that CDRWin knows is pirated, it will purposefully burn coasters.

Juiio:

Surely there must be a more effective means of communicating their desire for a user of a pirated copy to register, than for them to totally piss the unknowing user off so that they'll never look at the product again!

A message like: "That is an invalid serial #" would be far more in their interest.

Well, they ahve a check to see if the number is valid. However, people reverse engineer the algorithm then generate a few serial numbers. Those serial numbers are blacklisted in new versions and if you use one, you'll only burn coasters.

If you just mistype a character or two while typing it in your legitimate serial number, it will tell you that it is invalid and you can fix it. The force-it-to-burn-coasters-thing is only if you use one of hte blacklisted serial numbers.
