1. The PC I'm building will be mainly used for internet browsing/online poker (65%), music (10%), little photoshop editing (5%), strategic gaming (10%), and to stream content to my home entertainment system (10%).

2. $1300 - $1500 is the maximum I'm willing to go.

3. Looking for part from anywhere I can find for good price.

4. I do want to stick to a intel processor, but it's not necessary. I'm looking for something that's going to last me for a while.

5. Planing on using my z2300 logitech speakers...everything else is going to be brand new.

6. I have searched and/or read similar threads.

7. I'm planning on running the system at default.

8. The resolution for gaming doesn't matter for me as long as it's able to run my games and handle most games out there at the moment. The resolution would matter to me though when it comes outputting the image on a larger tv or screen.

9. I would like to have it builtwithin the next months.

I want to run a two monitor system (planing on upgrading to 3 in the future) so have to have a graphic card that can support that. A sound card that will output good crisp sound for music and blue ray playback. A room for exandablility is important. Would like to have the primary hard drive a solid state drive and media streamed from network hard drive and from a secondary internal drive. Need blue ray/DVD/CD burner.

My last system I built is 6 years old, pentium 4 2.4 ghz processor. It's lasted me till this point and I'm hoping this build will last me for a while.

Any suggestions on a solid reliable N router would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks David for your reply and suggestions.

I noticed that the hard drive you have listed is not a solid state hard drive. I wanted to cut down boot time and load time by getting a solid state hard drive. Any suggestions?

Also I noticed you didn't point out any heatsink for the CPU, which one do you recommend and should I get extra cooling for the case?

David's build looks pretty good, though I would probably combo the F3 with a 650TX. That combo effectively gets you the 650TX for $40.

Muskie's suggestion is pretty good there.

If you're running at stock, it's not really necessary.

Thanks guys for the replies. I know this might seem a little newbie question but will I be able to run windows 7 64bit on this setup?

Also if you can point me in the direction of the N routers that you guys recommend I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

yes, you will, and as mfenn said if you're running the chip at stock you won't be needing a extra cooler. If you want an SSD get the one muskie recommended.

Most of the consumer-grade routers are really hit or miss. I would make sure that any router that you're considering is supported by DD-WRT so that you do have to bother with the (crappy) stock firmware.

EDIT: I would probably get something like the WRT160NL and just immediately put DD-WRT on it.
