Heya, new user here saying hi.

Was looking to build a new amd comp... but I dont know much if anything about amd so if anyone is willing to help its appreciated greatly.
Processor-?
Motherboard-?
What type of ram-? I wanna use 1gig
Hd- covered
Case - good amd cases? lots of fan slots?
video card - I was thinking the brand new ati xt800 pro (when it comes in stock)
Monitor is covered.... I have 3 a90f+ viewsonics
well everything else is covered, Might pick up another dvd burner and dvd rom but dont really need that on 2 comps

Thanks

Edit-- sorry to post jumped the gun, but reading other posts on same topic

I wanna go amd, sorry for the confusion.
It's that I havent been following market since I built my last rig, and amd has a crapload of different models out not sure which is best

Wait for the X800Pro and Socket 939 motherboards and processors (get AMD64 as they are best for gaming).
At the moment there is an Asus board with VIA chipset, give it a wide berth and wait for the nVidia chipset socket 939 boards.

A64 3000+ or 2700+/2800+ mobile
Thermalright SLK948U or Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu
MSI K8N Neo Platinum or EPoX 8KDA3+
2x512MB ADATA Vitesta PC4000
Radeon 9800 Pro / X800 Pro, or GeForce 6800 / GT / Radeon X800 XT PE if you wait a bit

And yeah, see that other thread, or any of the other few hundred with the same subject.
