So my future wife (she doesn't know it yet ;) ) church wants a computer that will crunch video and chew through audio. It will be for processing audio from Sermons and sometimes video as well. It will be used on a projector to provide slides or videos that will be viewed by parishioners.

Basically I have a budget of ~$750 to do this.

I looked at a NewEgg bundle linked below;
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboB...=Combo.1763574

That being said,

I'd prefer Intel and a discrete card.
If that kit is good then great. If thre is something better please tell me! :D

Oh, and as a side-note, you might want to tell this girl you're interested before you become her permanently friend-zoned IT fairy.

Try flowers and dinner or something instead. Cheaper, too.

Just looking out for ya.

I'd also consider using a second machine to run the overhead - might make multitasking a little easier and/or less risky (you're editing video for the potluck after services, you click wrong and the slideshow disappears mid-hymn.)

Even something like this would be overkill to run Powerpoint or play a video.

Oh I understand, I'm just giving hell back. This geek has his own place, car etc!

The power point stuff I think I can just toss them an old PC I have for that. I'd use main pc to help but it's my, now old 2500K that's near and dear to me. Handles what I play pretty well. Diablo 3 and Dayz pretty much.
