lol what need was there to kill it, they don't sting apparently...

Animals with metallic parts, that's quite intriguing.

Wasps are the insect I hate the most.

I had one of these come into my garage while i was working on the car last summer... Sounded like an RC helicopter.

In all fairness, it's not like it has a metal tip in that thing, it just has a metal salt incorporated into the protein...kinda like the stuff floating in your blood right now

Okay, so I sprayed it with wasp killer and it keeled over. Here it is in my hand and you can see those three "tails" (not stingers I've been corrected!). Pretty awesome piece of insect - no?

I don't know why you have the need to kill it. It is a good bug, one that is use to control pests.

That's not a bug, this is bug.

I thought that the largest centipede and millipede are around a foot long. Not that insane size.

I have seen centipede and millipede that are around 12" long and the body is about as thick as an adult thumb during a flood at my grand parents farm.

So far the largest Beetle that I have seen was around 4" long but the pic be low take the cake for giant beetle.

That's a Japanese Anus Wasp. You spray em with insecticide and they play dead, then when you pick them up they burrow into your ass. Its a little painful but the worst part is the buzzy farts.

I'm known the word "Ovipositor" for about 24 of my 30 years on this planet and never would have described that as a "stinger."
