Ok, It's been a while since I was really on top of everything with PC's...

I remember with SDRAM, speed (PC100,PC133, etc.) was important, but also
the 'CAS' level was very important when it came to performance. If I remember
CAS2 was supposed to be significantly better than CAS3.

What I'm curious about now, is what has changed with DDR Ram?

I know I should look at PC2100 memory to start with. Every PC2100 module
I've found so far (from reputable manufacturers anyway - Crucial, Corsair, etc.)
are all CAS2.5. I've found 1 Corsair PC2400 that is CAS2, and several I don't
Know what brand modules that are labeled PC2700 but are also CAS2.5 or
even 3 I think.

So which is more important now when it comes to DDR? I've been told by one
person that CAS ratings are less important on DDR RAM??

I like Crucial, I read good things about them, Why is the fastest DDR module
they offer only PC2100 CAS2.5???

Is the 2400 worth the extra $40 from Corsair? or is the whatever brand PC2700
worth the extra $25? How can it be 333mhz and still be CAS2.5 or 3?

This 'll teach me to pay attention, and not fall behind on technology!

Crucial RAM overclocks nicely.
