Help brackis decide which charity to give money to

Each year around this time I like to donate $100-$200 to charity for obvious reasons. Please convince me why a charity you like is where I should put some, if not all, of my money this year. I'm interested in worthy causes for poor people that have low overhead adminstration costs so that as much money as possible goes directly towards the people in need.

Thanx,
Brackis

the anxi80-needs-money foundation. with a $200 donation, you will receive a letter from anxi80 himself every month which will also include a picture of him in his full-body thundercats pajama's with the socks sewn on at the bottom (remember those?!) circa 1986.

Food bank.

I usually give money to Northwest Harvest here in Washington, they supply food banks across the state. Food banks give out food to people who are trying to keep their life together (often single moms with kids) as opposed to giving money to a bum on the street for his 40 oz.

Salvation Army

That is who I donate to every year.

When I was 16 I ran away from home, ended up 1800 miles away,

Salvation Army let me crash/stay at their place one night,
I called a school friend 3 weeks later, and asked him to tell my parents I was ok.

they called the local {Schenectady NY} Salvation Army, and aksed them to see if they
could figure out where I had stayed.

Long story short I was able to come back home, and go back to school.

Thanks to Salvation Army.

The pic is circa 1986, or the pajamas are circia 1986 and the picture is recent?
