Okay so family member requested me to fix his computer and tells me he gets this blue screen whenever the computer starts handling load:

Kernel_Data_inpage_error

*** stop:0x0000007A (0xc03DD388, 0xc000000E, 0XF74E2642, 0x51E41860)

*** ftdisk.sys _ address F74E2642 base at F75D8000, Datestamp 3b78419

I searched it and got a general problem description but was wondering if the specific problem can be identified. He has two monitors hooked up to it running a P4 and WindowsXP.

I attached two of my monitors and tried to simulate load and surprisingly the computer never had a problem. I dont know why he would experience blue screens all the time and i dont.

Also I looked inside the case and noticed that he is running with a 380W power supply. I think its too low right? And also instead of a 24pin power connection to the motherboard which it has, its powered only by a 20 pin cable from the power supply. Does that do anything also?

Please helpful input would be greatly appreciated.

hmmm.....you might as well called fire in a place thats not burning and this is no 911 emergency station:roll:

disk drive possibly having a bad block or bad controller could be the problem.

380W should be plenty - as long as he's not running massive hardware. This issue is most likely related to memory / hard drive issues. Test his RAM and hard drive.

Could be drivers, or just a b0rken OS.
