Help, Blue Screen on Safemode

Ok. Everytime I try to run in safe mode, I get a blue screen. I will go back and find out exactly what it says if you guys need that.

The computer works fine when not in safe mode.

I have some kind of adware/spyware/ or even worse, a virus.

It launches internet explorer, along with x.exe . It goes to a porn page of course. A help window will also come up. I left the computer away for a few hours, I had 30+ iexplorer.exe open, and about 30 x.exe's open.

If I could just get into safe mode, I could atleast try to get this gone.
 
Just out of curiosity, do you run a virus scanner? Can it not find and deny access to the file?
 
No I don't run one. Maybe I need to?

Any good free ones out there?

Ok, I got AVG and it detected it. .I'll see what I can do.
 
Yes you should definately run one. I use AntiVir - it is another free antivirus product that is updated a couple of times per day.
 
I still get the blue screen after cleaning.

It tells me about disabling newly installed hardware or software.. or either try going into safe mode.

Well, I have tried going to safe mode.. which is the only place I get this error.

Any more ideas?
 
Backup your data, reinstall your OS and install AVG antivirus (it's free). Then update your OS...
