Help before it makes me crazy

After my computer boots up windows 95 and my desktop is finished, the computer pauses, then the A drive initializes. Same thing after I sign onto internet. The home page appears, computer pauses, then A drive initializes. Everything works ok, just annoying, that's all. Any way to end this?
