I have an ATI 9800 Pro.

Problem:
My mb got busted so I rma'ed for a new mb (same kind) and then got a new powersupply.
I reformated my computer.
installed nvidia drivers for mb. ok.
After I install catalyst drivers for videocard however this happens whenever i reboot it after the install:
Windows screen with the moving bar shows up...after that the monitor shuts off...then turns on again with a distorted screen...then thats it.
I tried catalyst 5.3...then thought maybe it was the new drivers, so i tried the omega 5.1 drivers and it does the exact same thing....after the first windows screen...monitor shuts off then comes on with a distorted screen...
if videocard drivers aren't installed it runs..i can get into windows, browse the web...but its slow and it looks crappy of course...i checked inside the system and the videocard is secure and the power is hooked up to it...
do i have a bad vid card?
