Help! Background Application rendered on screen!

Hello,

I recently upgraded the video card of my 4 year old PC from a GeForce 7600GS to a Radeon 5670 and I am having some weird problem:

Say I am working in Photoshop and Firefox at the same time, and I click on some page on Firefox to load and meanwhile I switch to Photoshop. When the page on firefox finish loading the Firefox screen is rendered on the screen, even though Photoshop is still the active window. By moving my mouse around the screen and clicking on things various parts of the Photoshop window are rendered and the result is a screen that is partly Firefox and party Photoshop. See screenshot for example:

In order to correct things I have to resize the photoshop window which forces the screen to be re-rendered and display correctly.

Any idea of what this problem is and how to solve it?

Please note that I had this video card on a different computer before, and on that computer no such problems occurred. So I don't think it is a hardware problem. The latest drivers are installed and catalyst recognizes both the video card and my display.

Thanks!

Did you completely uninstall the old nvidia drivers (using uninstaller and driver sweeper) before installing the new ati card (along with the latest drivers)?

No, I didn't.

But after a few more tests I realized the problem was caused only with Firefox 4. IE and Chrome didn't cause this issue. So I want back to Firefox 3.6 and I don't have this problem anymore. Firefox 4 was working fine with my previous card, so I really don't know what could cause such problem.
