HELP: Audigy + Windows XP = problems

Senior member
I just built a new computer (epox 8kha+ with an amd 1800+ (but it was fried so im using a duron)) and i have an audigy platinum in there. It did not install any sort of drivers during the install of windows XP so i was wondering what i can do to get these drivers? I tried installing the ones off of the cd and then downloading the update at www.soundblaster.com/support/winxp but it created problems with a .dll file on boot up and i had to reformat. What is the proper way to install these drivers and where can i find them?

Thank you

p.s mscovert.dll was the file that was messed up.

If i cannot boot into safe mode is there a way to do a system restore?
