First one is an E3, second one is an E4.

Don't know much about E4 so I can't give you a straight answer.

The 3500+ BPBox looks like the E6 stepping
The other CGBox is the newer E4 stepping.
I have the E6 stepping 3000+ and gets some amzing overclocks with it (950 over spec overclock).

I see Ricemarine mentioned the E3 (older stepping) so he may be right on that one.

As far i'm aware the BPboxs are now actually E6 rev. CPU's even though the BP is officially the E3 nomenclature. That's what I hear but can't verify it for sure, maybe someone else can.

If you're not overclocking E4 is better due to the improved memory controller.

If you are overclocking the E6's are renowned as being bad overclockers, there isn't really enough info regarding the E4's yet so it's kind of hit and miss. If I were you i'd pick up an E4 and hope for the best, others may have different opinions.

I have another thread directly comparing E3 vs E4 3500+... I have to keep a PC for myself and build one for my parents, so naturally I'm testing to determine which one I like more :)

The OP is not overclocking though so the E4 revision will be better due to the improved memory controller.
