Hey guys, i just installed a new Seagate 160 GB HDD about a week ago, but before that i was able to burn CD's and DVDs just fine. So I try to burn a DVD for my GF yesterday and I get this error message
"SCSI Command Aborted"
That has never happened before so i try a couple more times with different programs and they all have the same result. So I go into Device Manager and i notice that my Disk drives and my DVD drives and recognized as SCSI Devices. WTH. Both of my HDD and both of my Disk Drives are ATA and i never had a SCSI Drive installed in my computer. I tried updating the firmware on the DVD drives, but that did not work. I tried uninstalling the drives in device manager but they just come back up as SCSI Devices. None of the drives are recognized as SCSI drives in BIOS. I have no idea what is going on
Here is my current setup
Athlon XP-M 2400+ @ 2.2
Epox 8RDA+
512 Kingston pc3200 Hyperx Ram
ATI AIW 9600XT
Micro Advantage 4x DVD Writer
I/O Magic 16x Dual Layer DVD Writer
160GB Seagate HDD
120GB Seagate HDD
Please Help Guys. This never happened before i installed the new HDD, but i cant see why a HDD would make this happen. Here are some PICS
Device Manager as SCSI Devices
"SCSI Command Aborted"
Cliff Notes
1.installed a new Seagate 160 GB HDD
2.So I try to burn a DVD
3."SCSI Command Aborted" error message, 1st time ever
4.Device Manager says my drives are SCSI Devices, when they are clearly ATA
5.tried updating the firmware no avail
6.uninstalling the drives in device manager no avail
7. Please Help
Thanks guys
