Hi,

2 Days ago I bought one Mtron mobi 3000 2.5 16gb I installed in my old motherboard Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3(ICH9) without raid,I have tested in ide and AHCI,the speed is limited to 80mb/s so today I bought an Asus P5Q witch has P45 ICH10R I actived AHCI and installed Intel Matrix Storage but is still limited to 80mb/s I also tried the second controller in my motherboard Silicon Image Sil5723 I got the same result arround 80mb/s.

Where the problem? Mybe the SSD is damaged or only work with raid to have full speed?

The only problem I see here is the testing. ;)

Take a look at your access times! That drive is not going to push more than 80MB/S apparently. But with sub 1ms access times it will be plenty fast. If you want super fast STR with SSD you must buy many of them and attach them to a real host. Ten of those SSD's in R0 for example would yield 160GB of storage with 800MB/S STR.

there was a bug in ICH9 that it was limimted to 80MB/s (while the same mtron drives did 110MB/s on nfroce)... and they later fixed the bug... mmm... could be that it reappeared in the ICH10R... anandtech should test it out.
