My ASUS mobo fried (yes, I fried it) but I switched everything back to my trusty old BH6. The problem I am now getting is this:

I have a p3 650e and one stick of 256meg 133mhz CAS3 ECC ram that the BH6 reports as only 128 megs. Does the BH6 support this ram? The manual say it supports 256meg modules but nothing about 133mhz or ECC. Also, its a double-sided module, could I have possibly blown out one side? HELP! Thanks.

Well, I popped the chip into a server i have here at work and it tests ok. I guess the BH6 doesnt support this type of ram fully or maybe I need a new bios or change some setting.

It fried when I put in on of those aopen slot fans. The ones that go into an empty PCI slot and sucks air out. Well, the rail touched one of the copper leads and even though the system was off ATX PS was still active I guess and POOF! Smoke. One of the copper leads melted away. I soldered some contacts with wire but dont know if I should try it out. I wouldnt want to fry some other component. You know, Ive been a pc tech for over 12 years and a network engineer for 5 years and I still blow crap up. I guess the more you know the more chances you take. heheheheh :)
