HELP ! Asus A7v133 and my new chip

I've got an Asus a7v133 raid board rev 1.04 with bios rev 1008.

It's been running my T-bird 1gig @ 1350 @ 1.7 volts for over a year now.

Just bought a new chip for this board, a 1700+ bird thats supposed to run at 1.5 volts

BUT every time I set up the settings, upon re-boot it resets me back to my OLD settings, and won't let me,

Lower the voltage for this chip, or reset the multiplier.

and Yes I've reset the cmos, ( Pain in the butt ), but it still goes back to the old settings the next time i boot up.

any suguestions ??

where do you reset the CMOS on the a7v133? mine wont boot atm lol, just swaped in a 1.3 t-bird and messed it up. Not sure how to set the board to run the chip at 1.3, was running it at 100 fsb 1000 mhz before i played with it.

They have 2 stupid solder dots up buy the battery, their a little hard to find cause of the cables in that area.
Shut it down.... and UNPLUG it !!!
then look around the right hand corner of the board.
heres a link to the manual.

I though that the 1.04 revision did not support any of the xp+ processors. On the Asus web site it says only 1.05 or later

The 1.04 revison does NOT officaly support the XP processors but I had one that ran an XP1700+ Tbred A just fine but had to use the jumpers & dips to set everything...

Kenny0829... you may just have to set the jumpers and dips to make it work right... 😉
