Congrats. First of all, READ THE MANUAL(S). They are more helpful than you think when it comes to this SCSI stuff. Some general tips I can offer:
The host adapter settings are very important as they determine if all the devices connected to the SCSI chain will work. Stick with factory default settings in the SCSI BIOS. Make sure all drives are set to different SCSI IDs, conflicts will cause the drives to be not recognized. If possible, use SCAM (SCSI Configured Auto-Magically) which is like Plug & Play for SCSI where the settings are configured automatically. Termination is the second trap. The last device on the SCSI chain (physically the farthest away from the host adapter) must have termination set on. There should be one terminating device on each internal chain and one on the external chain.
Don't panic if something isn't recognized the first boot. Just take your time and test your settings.
