Help! Anyone know where to buy an OEM wheel for a '98 Grand Cherokee

Heavy rain today in Southern California. I turn left a bit too sharply and my Grand Cherokee spins out. I do about 270°, but not before my right-rear tire goes over the center divider. It blows out the tire and the rim is fairly screwed up. Does anyone know where i can get a new wheel for cheaper than $191.45? Or if it's possible to repair the wheel tell me where. Thanks a lot for helping me out here.

There will be places in your town that sell refurbished wheels. The price will vary depending on what they give you back as a "core charge" on your old wheel. I'm not sure what to look under in the phone book as I got the name of the place I use on a recommendation. Probably the best way is to call a place you think might sell used wheels, and if they don't, ask if they know a place that does.

try the local for sale newspaper/magazine

call local tire stores, that sell the aftermarket rims, maybe someone upgraded to 16's/17's etc..

good luck 🙁

Looks like ebay's no go. They don't have my wheel and most of them want to sell it in sets of 4. I really need to find out where my local chop shop is.

I found it at Kilroy's Auto & Truck Dismantling for $101. I think I'll go over there and check it out. Does anyone have any experience with salvage yard type places like this or better yet this one in particular. If so please share.

Been there many times. Just a junkyard type place where you bring your own tools and take off whatever parts you want. I would also check salvage yards. Kilroy's should be fine for a rim. Is it steel or alloy?

Alloy

They don't garauntee rims to my knowledge. I would check if you can get a warranty on it so you can make sure it isn't f'd up.
