I have an interview with a company in two weeks. I have to do a presentation in front of 9-11 people. They want me to present my past accomplishments in the industry. I have never had to do this on an interview. I only have about 3-4 years total experience in the related field. Does anyone have any pointers about what I should say or prepare? Thanks

Edit: It should be only 15-20 minutes.

What field are you in?

This would help in further replies to your questions.

Optics, Optical Engineering

I am going to probably use Powerpoint to do the presentation. I will include all the projects I have worked and give lots of statistics and outcomes of the projects. I know the mistakes and failures of each one and what should of been done to correct them. I will also give a brief over view of my qualifications that I think are important to the job.

Remember not to focus too much on the projects, because they are probably more interested in what you did and how you did it.

Bring up things like being the team leader, identifying cost reduction ideas, meeting schedules, staying under budget, etc. (assuming it's true). Don't be afraid to bring up where you might have made small errors so you can point out how you recognized your mistake, corrected it, and how you can apply that experience to your future assignments.

You would think you are hiring a manager or something like that. I had a phone interview and the person that I talked said they definitely want to interview me. I have never had a managerial position. I have been in charge of certain processes and been a part of larger groups. You do make good points, budgets, cost reduction and I will certainly hit on those.
