HELP! - Any drive on 8K7A+ primary UIDE raid channel gets corrupted

Any drive that I install on the primary UIDE channel (the one closest to the memory) that is controlled by the HPT370A gets corrupted. Small programs work fine, i.e. I can copy them to the drive and run them, but when I install a bigger program (Quake 3) I get problems running it. I thought that one of my drives(the same kind) was bad, but I switched the drives and the problem stays with whatever drive is on the primary UIDE. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.
