I've never worked with Slot 1 or Slot A before...
A friend of mine gave me her old PC a few months ago, because it wouldn't power on any more. She had since got a Powerbook and is quite happy with it. Anyway, turns out the video card was loose. Popped it back in and it works fine. It was an old TNT2 Pro that I've since given to a friend, and replaced with a Radeon 9200 128MB.
Anyway, it's a MicronPC Millenia, with a Tyan Trinity 400 motherboard (both Slot 1 and Socket 370). It had a Micron-ized BIOS on it, but I flashed it to Tyan's latest and all is well there. It currently has a Slot 1 667MHz P3, but I'm upgrading it to a Socket 370 866MHz P3, the highest this board can take (could be higher if it was a newer PCB).
So now that I have the 866, how do I take out the Slot 1? There's a metal strip across the top with the word PUSH stamped in it, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
