Help an iPhone n00b!

So I have several rather large video clips I want to export from my iPhone to my PC. Is there a way to do this natively? If not, what application do you all recommend?

And once I get in to my PC, what application do you all recommend to merge the clips together and other such editing tasks?

When I record video on my iPhone 3GS, it puts them in the externally visible folder. So when I pull up "My Computer" and look, I see an "iPhone" icon next to all the drives. Then I can open that up and there are .MOV files inside for the movies. I can just drag those over to a folder.

As far as editting, I've been using the iPhone for that. I don't know of good suggestion.
