HELP!!! All of my Windows 7 keys from Technet Are BLOCKED by Microsoft

Well, I had a technet subscription for a few years, and then with the changes to their key
policies, I let my subscription lapse. Sorry, but trying to keep track of just 2 keys in a 5 machine envoirnment can get to be confusing.

Rebuilt one of the machines downgrading from 64 bit to 32 bit as the sleep function NEVER worked correctly in Windows 7 on my hardware (yes, checked all updates/patches/drivers).

So, I go to use the same key, and it comes back to call them, which I do, and that is when I noticed at the top of the screen the key has been blocked. I speak with a Representative, and this key has been activated 5 times, and I list each hardware platform, as well as the change from my previous ATI 4770 to GTX460 in the machine (and the clean build for Cataclysm). He says no problem, they just have to give me a new key, and that I have to call tomorrow when MSDN is available.

That is when I decide to try some of the keys (5 in total) that have NEVER been activated before, and they ALL come up as Blocked now. WTF!

Anyone have an idea of what route to take. Previsouly, when you let your subscription end, your keys always remained valid.

Feels like MS decided to whack prior subscribers into having to continue to purchase a new sub.

HELP!

Blocked keys are an indicator that they have been used on more than the allowed installs. Talk to MS Monday.

Actually, they aren't in use, MS has turned them off.

I just tried a Vista install and used keys from 2 seperate Technet Plus
subscriptions I had purchased, and keys that were not tied to any machine
previously.

Yet, MS is blocking the Keys.

Why do you have multiple seperate Tech subs? Are you selling keys?

I had 2 seperate accounts as 3 years ago MS changed their
Technet Plus accounts, and when I renewed, they created
new keys from the previous.

No, I don't sell keys, and I would not sell keys.

so even before stating something like that, ask in a PM
instead of being an arse and posting it in the thread.

If you don't have anything useful to say, Troll elsewhere

I do not see how an "Argument" over here will help.

It does not matter what we say or don.t say over here.

Call Technet support tomorrow, and find out what this is all about.

AFAIK Technet keys are valid only within the subscription time.

Q. Will my product keys still work after my TechNet Subscription ends?
A. Yes. Product keys downloaded during the subscription period will continue to work after the subscription period has ended. Note in the event of piracy detection Microsoft reserves the right to cancel un-activated product keys at any time.

Remember that MS has been faced with some flagrant subscription license violations in the past couple years. There are a lot of folks selling MSDN subscription Keys on eBay and locally, hurting many people and hurting Microsoft's reputation.

It is not only possible selling of keys, but sharing keys with friends or family.

that last one is the one i get all the time  they will never know is what i am told

Yes they will. Each key is limited to a given number of activations. Once that is reached, that key can get locked.

Sounds like abuse of the system too...technet is not meant to give you 5 personal licenses...it's for testing not building gaming machines.

MS is going to be the only ones that can help you.
