HELP!! AIW 7500 crashing my new A64 system!!

Just upgraded my system to Athlon 64 3200+ with an ECS 755-A2 board. I used my existing Radeon AIW 7500 video card and did a clean install of Windows XP Home. Everything was fine until I installed the drivers for the AIW from the original CD that shipped with the card two years ago. Now, Windows crashes almost immediately after booting. When I restart, it does give me a message that it was the Radeon driver that caused the crash. Then it crashes again. Ugh.

How do I fix this? I can't keep the system running long enough to update the driver to the new version, and I can't run the new driver's install while in safe mode. Tips?

First uninstall drivers in control panel while in safe mode. then restart in regular mod so you have network.

Download driver cleaner

follw isnt.

DL latest catalyst drivers from ATI website.

Install

gluck

Did all that, got the new drivers installed, rebooted. All was fine for 20 seconds. Then, the same thing happened. Everything froze. I had to reboot. When Windows came back up, it said the Radeon driver caused the crash and then it froze again. Arg. Could it be that my motherboard doesn't like the Radeon 7500?

Other options might be [not in this order]:
BIOS flash
download newest chipset drivers
try another vga card just to see if it is the mobo that has the prob
try the AIW in another system to see if the vga has a prob
Check RAM
Check psu

Good luck
