Thanks in advance for any ideas/help

System
FIC VA503+ Mobo
K62 400 AMD CPU
64m PC100 Memory Atlas
ISA v.90 3com modem
ISA AWE 32 Sound Card

Just installed a new nvidia tnt2 card system booted and locked up. Called tech support told me to upgrade drivers to dentonator 3 and patch my via chipset with a 4 in 1 driver update. Did that. Still locks up. The lock up is strange mouse pointer still moves but the rest of the screen is frozen. Called techs again...Said something about my mouse driver being the culprit (Logitech has terrible drivers was his quote I believe) Im not sure but I think he is stumped. I know I am. Company I bought the card from refuses to take back they have a no refund policy. Missed that when I bought it. They will take it back if it is defective but I do not know if it is or not. If it is not defective they charge $15 and ship the card back to you. I am at my wits in. I am going to format and reinstall windows hoping to remove whatever artifacts might be causing problems. Any ideas?

Thanks

Have you tried older drivers like Detonator 2, get themhere ,btw there is nothing wrong with Logitec drivers my cordless is working great 18 months now even on my new MSI K7T PRO & Geforce2 MX .Make sure you have fastwrites disabled in BIOS.

Remove ALL your old video drivers from your previous card. Boot into safe mode and check: system/ properties / device manager /display adaptors and make sure you only show one video display device. For a start.

hhahaha, that's funny to blame another company's product as a the problem, i have a logitech with a tnt2 ultra & it works fine with the logitech drivers or just the default win9x drivers, it's so easy to blame another when someone doesn't know the answer, i don't know if i've ever done that when i worked as a tech support, once again ahahhaaha. i suggest you try a different videocard or borrow one from a friend & install it, if there's no lockup you will know for sure it's your videocard, who knows, maybe you videocard has a bad memory chip on it, remember what forrest said: "Zhit happens".
