If your parents feel the same way as you, no one is going to come and get you.

Ha.
Are you sure you can survive outside of their protective care?
Legaly, you have to be an adult, which is 18.

You can move out right now. By the time the courts get anything done to allow them to FORCE you back into their house, you'll be 18.

You can leave, as long as they don't report you as a runaway nobody will care.

That should be the least of your worries though.

You can't enter a lease, or any other contract, where do you plan to live?

Suck it up for another six months & then leave - It will be MUCH easier.

BTW, living on your own (while great) is expensive. How much do you make?

After a certain age they can emancipate you, basically making you an adult legally before you are 18. You can't buy cigarettes or porn, but IIRC you can enter legally binding contracts and are considered an adult if you get arrested.

Bad idea. How much do you make? What do you have for transportation. Do you have an emergency money? Why is the situation so bad>?

Then you are going to have to wait 6 months or keep getting arrested for running away. What state are you in?

Look into emancipation if you want - Here is an article on it. http://www.jlc.org/Resources/pdfs/faqemn.pdf
I was looking into it for one of my juvenile dependancy hearings, but the kid was 17 1/2 and I decided it would be best for the kid to just wait a few months.

*I just skimmed the link and this is not legal advice.

edit: fixed linky

I live in PA and I moved out of my parents house when I was 17. Everything should be cool just as long as you have a friend over the age of 18 with a place for you to stay.
