So evidently I have no fashion sense. If you don't mind, pick out one (i.e., pick the colors) that you would wear if you were going to get one. Please pick Ballistic Nylon Yes I realize they are 2x the cost of anything similar. *They are built like tanks and have a lifetime warranty.

Thanks for helping me look normal :D

*Open to other suggestions, must me well built and at least 2K inches^3.

First get a backpack.
Second get a black backpack.
Third you may want do describe your complexion/post a pic if you want people to offer advice on what looks good on you.

Ever see those $50 LL Bean backpacks (If I remember correctly, they call them the "Deluxe Bookpack" or some crap? They ain't stylish, but as far as cargo capacity and durability is concerned, but they've made them FOREVER, and I know people that have had them since kindergarden and they're still in damn good shape.

Eagle Industries. Lifetime warranty, not that it matters since their gear is made for military/law enforcement and you'll never wear it out. The have every color a man would ever want: black, OD, desert tan, or coyote tan.

Messenger bags are good for carrying around a light load of things you might need for the day. 2000 cubic inches sounds like a day of class, not a day out on the town. They are not suitable for textbooks, etc. You will hurt your back in the long run since you are straining one deltoid over the other, several hours a day.

Get a nice, good backpack. REI makes some very well built stuff for cheap.

You'd be suprised what my bag goes through. My current one has rips in 3 different locations from just day to day use.

What brand is it? My North Face Recon pack has gotten me through my senior year of HS and three years of college, not to mention a year and a half of use during vehicle security patrols of campus. Still looks brand new, just a little dirty.
