1. What YOUR PC will be used for? 50% Gaming, 50% post processing of raw Nikon digital photographs using Lightroom 2.2 and Photoshop CS4

2. What YOUR budget is. Around 2k, less is better, a little more is okay too

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from. US

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. Intel

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are. Nope

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads. Yep

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds. Stock speeds, maybe slight overclock

8. WHEN do you plan to build it? Planning to order this in a day or two.

What do you guys think of this setup so far? I want to order it soon, within a day or two. Is there any miscellaneous anythings I'm missing, possibly more case fans? I eventually want to mildly overclock when more cooling options are available for this socket...perhaps around 3.0ghz or so at the most. Thanks in advance for everyone's input.

those run hot so if you have that pc in a room that is effected by the summer temps then it would be a good idea to get an aftermarket HS&F for it... especially since you have a little bit of overclocking in mind and if you aren't that serious about gaming, than a 260 216 card would do you good... that might be the ticket to reallocate some funds for the HS&F

I don't really mind spending a little bit for a HS&F, but there seems to be a lack of availability for one that fits over the LGA 1366 socket. Any recommendations?

All of the heatsinks for the socket 1366 mount over the socket.
