I somehow "equipped" throw money and now have in the lower right screen an additional throw money icon in addition to the crossed swords. No matter what I try I cannot seem to unequip/turn this off and anytime I accidently hit Y I throw away money. Is there a way to turn this off? TIA
 
You should be able to use the direction pad to change what your Y button is assigned to. Left direction will equip pistols so that Y becomes shoot. You may need to progress in the game first if you don't have any other items to equip. I have barely used the other items and I am about 45% complete.

I got this game bundled with the XB1. It took a lot of time for me to get into this game, but now that I have, I am enjoying it. I had to run/sail around and explore the map for a while before I could upgrade the Jackdaw and progress with the main mission. The last AC I played was the first one on 360.

I think the closest you'll get is Rogue. Probably worth picking up once it hits $20 on last gen systems. I'm not sure what time period AC5 is going to be set in when they finally stop releasing AC:Subtitle games and come out with the 5th.

I was trying that but no matter what I did I couldn't get it to go away. I ended up just restarting since I was not really all that far in to worry about losing anything. That is how I ended up with it as well, part of a bundle when I bought my system last November.
