I'm trying to resolve this IRQ conflict for a W2K computer at work.
We're trying to use the AC '97 for sound and it and the GeForce3 video card simply insist on using IRQ 7.
Which seems to be killing the sound.
I enabled AC '97 on the MB and in the bios.
How can I resolve this?
Eventually this box will house a Pinnacle DV500 card, a LAN card and an IDE card to power a Zip 250.
That leaves me only one free PCI slot... probably number 3.
Can I even add a sound card with all of this on it?
I got the DV500 to accept IRQ 11 by changing the PNP setting in the bios to "legacy" for 3, 4, 5, and 7.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
