i was looking for an ati graphics card on newegg when i came across this section of 'firegl' cards
they are a lot more expenxive so i was wondering what are they for and if they are better than radeons?
 
I think they're ATI's professional line of graphics cards (kind of like Nvidia's Quadro line). I don't think you need something like this...
 
They're meant for rendering work... it's more for people who create 3D models rather than draw them at 100fps.
