HELP abit siluro 8x agp 128mb ti4200

heres my situation... i ran 3dmark03 and i scored 668... now what im wondering is what is going on?

System specs
athlonxp 1800+ thoroughbred
256mb pc3200ddr
gigabyte ga-7avxp ultra
windows xp pro sp1
codegen 350w psu
western digital 40gb

well thats all the relavent info that i think would be affecting it...
now i have directx9 installed and newest drivers, i just flashed the bios on the motherboard and the video card..
i tried overclocking, i tried older drivers with no luck... HELP

it runs fine in games and whatnot.. but it just doesnt perform in 3dmark03... my friends system with a pny 4400 p3 850 scores 1200... WTF is going on?

also.. when i start up windvd 2000+ my screen blacks out for a second... and same thing happens when i close it.. anyone?

The ti4200 does not support direct x 9! Meaning the tests for 3dmark2003 are not ment for that graphic card. Stick with 2001 SE .

As for your second question...black out as in your monitor goes black for a few seconds? I would only think that is normal when a monitor is changing resolutions.

isnt there a patch or something that makes it support dx9?

its hardware related, no patch (unless a hack to *cough* improve 3dmark scores) can fix it. the only way to overcome it is to buy a geforcefx. BTW, your card if fine with ALL games on the market. 3dmark 2003 is BS anyways.
