Hi there this is my first time posting here.

As noon I don't know much about pc gaming or much about PC's in general so sorry if I get the most obvious things wrong.

So to the question...
My friend has given me a good PC the specs for it are:Xigmatek Asgard Gaming Case
Corsair CX 430W PSU
Intel Core i3 3220 3.3GHzIvy Bridge Processor
ASUS P8B75-M LX Motherboard
4GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz RAM
Intel Integrated HD Graphics
Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATAII 7200rpm Hard Drive
High speed DVD and CD Rewriter
7.1 Surround Sound Audio
2 Front & 4 Rear USB 2.0 and 2 Rear USB 3.0 Ports
Gigabit Ethernet

So I was wondering if I get a half decent graphics card will this computer be able to play games like black ops 2, battlefield 3 and the like many thanks for any help

Welcome to the Forums!

What resolution will you be playing at? How much is your budget?

Thanks for any help

You didn't answer the question about the resolution you'll be playing at, which is fairly critical in finding a video card for your needs. The question of budget also remains; what is a tight budget for you? $100? $200?

Something like a Radeon 7770 might be good for you, especially at that resolution. You can read some reviews to check fps in the games you wish to play.

The 6570 is approximately $50, which is a far cry (in percentage terms) from the $100 budget you mentioned initially. Which is it?

Well, what you need to consider is the steepness of the performance/price curve at your price point. Spending an extra £30 will give you significantly more graphics power. I don't know which website you're purchasing from, but as far as I can tell, the 7770 is not appreciably more expensive than the 6670, but is much faster.

TL;DR -> at your budget, I'd spend every bit there is to spend.
