Help a networking newbie! DSL and phoneline networking

I want to set up a nework. I know all the software setting up and protocols. However, reading praticallynetworked I still have no clue how to set it up, i.e. what should connect to what. Basically, I have 2 computers, both with the Home phoneline 1mbps nics. (I have more computers but I'll set them up later. ) Right now, the DSL external modem is connected to the nic. Any suggestions? Do I need another nic on the computer that has the DSL connection?

If I can't figure this out I'll go for a wireless one, I guess

Or could you point me in the right direction, I've done a search and nothing much came up.

pothead, the 2wire homeportal is on sale at office depot this week -- it rocks -- I use it with no problems. Why are you using HPNA 1.0 cards?? 2.0 cards are cheep on ebay and other places, not to metion they are way more stable. If you have a combo card, you can't use the ethernet and hpna at the same time -- either 1 or other.
