Help a friend in need: Donate H/W

Ok, my post in General Dissucion died or left the planet I guess so to make a long story short here it is. My friend is an avid computer lover, he has no computer. His parents are divorced and they're living off welfare. My plan is to gather enough H/W to make a complete computer by December 25th, basically make it a gift he'll never forget. If you want to help you can post here and help out by donating H/W. It doesn't have to be the latest or stuff you're going to sell in the F/T forum, just enough to maybe make a 500mhz computer.

How do we know that this is actually going to your friend as you claim ?

Also I believe this type of thread isn't allowed on AT .. well atleast on the FS/FT forum
