I have an aluminum thermaltake Xaser V 8000a wingo. The case has 3 90mm fans and 2 80mm fans. My problem is that I believe with 5 fans I should be getting better temps than
34c idle athlon 64 3000+ 939
34c asus a8n-sli
If I open the side of my case while its running, the cpu goes down to 33 and the mobo goes down to 30 at idle. I would rather have these temps.
Extenuating circumstances may be the neopower 480 which I believe is putting off a ton of heat into my system.
Also, I have an msi 6600gt, and who knows how hot that thing is running since it has no thermal sensor.
Finally... maybe since the cse is aluminum it's holding the heat in somehow.
I know people say not to trust the internal sensors, however, what would be a good thermal diode tester?
Also, is there some configuration with these 5 fans I should be considering?
My system is not OC'd and is running stock for everything.
