In cpu-z, my memory maximum bandwidth is shown as 333Mhz. Whereas it should eb 667Mhz.
I have 2 512MB ddr2 sticks installed.

That's physical clock speed. It's DDR memory, so the actual transfer speed is 667MHz.

If you look at the SPD tab, you'll see the speeds supported, and note the Max Bandwidth field.

Even in SPD, its showing 333Mhz .. :(

Does it have to do something with single channel/double channel? I have 2 512MB sticks, show shouldnt they be working double channel?

Someone made a typo. It should still say 333 in the spd tab. (Mine does)

Your pc is running just fine.

Thanks for clearing that up.
So it should be 333Mhz only. Right..

But here is one more problem. The RAM is installed in 2 consecutive slots (first and second). Is that the reason why its showing "single channel" instead of "dual channel" in CPU-Z? If so, whats the solution?

Read your board's manual,it should say what slots you need to use for dual channel operation.

Sorry, wasn't clear. I did mean that the SPD tab would show the electrical clock speed, not the data rate.

Dceite1: most mainboards use alternating slots for the channels. The first two slots are channel A, the second two are channel B. To use dual-channel, you want one module in each channel, so usually it's slot 1 and 3.
